CULTURAL PROJECTS

The Abu Dhabi International Sculpture Symposium (ADISS) - in collaboration with Zayed University, Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Armed Forces Officers Club is a perfect example of the gallery’s involvement in the development of the local contemporary art scene.

The Symposium showcased 17 internationally recognized sculptors in Abu Dhabi all of whom created their works in the capital in a venue that was open to the public.

This project was directed by the Salwa Zeidan Gallery and aligns with Salwa’s personal mission to bridge the gap between the oriental and occidental by importing the best art practices the world has to offer.

Some of the world’s most recognized symposium artists took part in this initiative to create monumental public art sculptures that will be displayed across the city of Abu Dhabi.
